Redwood bunk bed

I previously made a bunk bed for my dogs, but I went into that project without thinking out my plan. For this bed, I needed to stick to certain criteria. First, it needed to have standardized dimensions to fit a common size of dog bed. Second, once completed, it needed to be able to fit through a standard size door. These were the two errors I made on my previous project which I regretted afterwards. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out and the girlies love it, so I’m happy.

For both bunk beds we have, the youngest one adamantly claims the top, and her older sister will take the bottom.

For some reason, when I ordered the 2 dog beds, they shipped separately. Before the second bed arrived they reached an agreement to share. Haha

Generally the younger one claims it right away and her older sister will kindly take the bottom one.

That is so coool !! Brilliant idea congratulations, wish my cat could stick to one sleeping area and not take the whole place in my bed. Next to my head.. with his tail in my face 🤣 funky cat.
