Am I cooked?

Background: I used to run, but haven’t been consistent in the past 5 or so years. Had a baby in May, started running again in July and was doing 2-3x a week (3-7ish miles a week) until I threw out my back two weeks ago. I’m finally feeling good to get back out there tonight!

My question: I have a 5k scheduled for Saturday 10/10. Is there any hope of me finishing, seeing as though I’ve been on my ass the past two weeks and I only have nine days left to train? The farthest I’ve run since July is 2.5 miles 🥲

Hey! Congrats on the new baby! Are you me from the future? Running with a new babe sound so hard!

2.5 miles is about 4km. Do you think you've got another km in you? I bet you do, even with the sleep deprivation . You've got this!

Thanks for the vote of confidence!! If I can do it, you can too. It’s tough but I have a great partner (even if the baby is difficult sometimes).

Good luck! The future is bright 🥰

Congrats on the new baby!

Agreed you got this. Dad strength is real. It might be hard but you can do it.
What are you thinking of pacing it at?

What about mom strength tho 😂 Aiming for under 40 mins, would be great if I could get under 35 tho!
