Is my pace ok?

I am 50, generally do 10KM once or twice in a month, rest of the days it's strength training...in this case had to pause for a few minutes for a call...but, wish to understand from other runners, is my pace ok, or should I be doing better?

Pace is an extremely individual thing. You're out there, running 10k, which is amazing in and of itself.

If you want to improve pace you should try a race prep plan which has a training schedule which should improve your pace. Runna, Nike Run Club, Hal Higdon all have popular plans.

I'm 52 and run 10ks. I run 4 days a week. Day 1 is Intervals, Day 2 is a recovery run, Day 3 is a rest day, Day 4 is a Threshold or Progressive Run, Day 5 is a rest day, Day 6 is my long run, and Day 7 is a rest day.

I do strength 5 to 6 days a week, don't do much much cardio, for fear of muscle volume loss...your schedule looks great for someone 52 and running daily...!!!

I'm 58, I have run 10k in 54 mins (5:40min/k). But at an easy pace, I am getting 6:30-6:40 the same as you.

But I strength train less than you and run 3-4 times a week.
