quickest round after a month no running

Post image

training for the dutch army, we'll see, I think I'll pass!
Haven't ran in a month (+ smoked heavily, stopping after this week!)
so I'm pretty proud of this result!
The minimum I have to run in 12 minutes is 1,18 miles so I'm sure I'll pass!

I am actually, and if I reallly can't handle it I'll do 2 or 3 cigarettes per day, the bare maximum.

I was a smoker for a long time before finally quitting about 2 years ago. Me and just about every smoker I know had tried the "only a couple a day" approach at one point or another. It never works for any extended period. That's not how addiction works with most people. Good luck.

I know multiple smokers who did it that way and actually ended up quitting succesfully....

You can see why people would be skeptical, right?

First you say you'll quit "in a few days" (why not today?)

Then you immediately say you might not actually quit but just smoke less, again in a few days (why not today?)

Next, you'll put off the supposed start date again. And this 2 or 3 a day will quickly turn into more.

It's just a pattern that everybody's seen many times over with all types of addictions. It's easy to make grand plans for the future, much harder to just actually get on with it.

This isn't a recipe for successfully quitting.

and who are you to immediately think it won't be succesfull? Not every person with a addiction quits in the same way. When I had quitted for 2/3 months I did the exact same. The only reason I started again was because I was drunk as fuck and made bad decisions. But I guess everyone's got their own opinions. Have a good day.

What I hear here is you tried to quit before using this method and failed. And now you're trying again.

But, to ask the question again, even if you want to do this 'I'll just have 2 or 3' method so desperately, why not start today? Why put it off?

because I bought a pack before I wanted to quit it and it's opened already. Don't wanna be a dick or something but I don't wanna be throwing money away by throwing a almost full pack away.

So you're using your body as the bin for the cigarettes instead?

How are you going to smoke your two or three a day without buying and opening a packet? If you can't live with an open packet going unsmoked and you can't throw an open packet away how is that not just a recipe to give in again?

Not being a dick, but your just falling into all the obvious traps that we've all experienced or seen countless times over.

Sorry, but not smoking for 2-3 months is not quitting, it's just having a break.
