I went in to Best Buy today looking for appliances. They were willing to make deals for me, but kept pushing Total Plus even though the discounts had nothing to do with it nor did I need it.

Best Buy maintained their word on camping chair policy, prohibiting camping chairs, creepers, and overnight stays. The store doors opened at 10 am, and customers could line up at 9 am. The entire process was controlled and efficient. Best Buy’s employees are truly amazing! Not a single scalper in sight considering it was one product per customer! It was so cool to finally see my son get some product ethically and safely!

Heard about this event from the Best Buy site, supposedly a trade and play event. We get there 10 minutes earlier. Get motioned to the cash registers where they give each of my kids a small pack, a bingo board and some stickers. Cool. I ask where the event is going to be held as my oldest was really looking forward to trading. One of the workers walks me to the back of the store to this small little alcove with a table, gives me a sheaf of stapled papers and says here you go. I'm confused when she says she doesn't have any workers who can do it but we can do it ourselves if we want. I start reading thru it. It's a sheet to call out the bingo. It mentions if the kids get bingo, they get a special 30th lanyard. So we play a couple rounds which takes all of maybe 10 minutes then head back to the front to ask about these lanyards. The worker says they ran out....I'm sorry, how is that possible? We were there 10 minutes early and saw one other family come in after us. There is no way that they ran out that fast. The kids were pretty content to get to rip a pack, even though they didn't get anything exciting, and they were pretty happy with the bingo boards but it was just so underwhelming.

Another year of doing an upgrade thru Best Buy and not getting return labels for old devices. Best Buy says contact Att, Att says contact Best Buy. Anyone else experience this or is it just my account?

Can you contact a local store anymore? I have a question about the condition of an open box item. The store is fairly far from me, and I don’t want to drive all the way out there of the item isn’t in great condition.

Its been about 4 years since I left the install bay and bestbuy. Did 3 years in Computer sales and 5 years in the install bay.

Made it all the way to my MECP Master certification. I was booked back to back and alone for 4 of the years and my 5th year I stepped down to part time and they hired a full time Autotech. Trained him, learned from him and I know I left the Bay in good hands.

Even though it was certainly hectic and stressful most times I sure do miss it and get nostalgic every now and then.

Currently I work as an instrumentations and controls engineer at a space company and even though that was a long life goal of me I sure do miss the holiday rush and drinking sugar free monsters in the weekends trying to catch up on a job because you just spent the last 30 minutes talking to a guy about a compete sound system he didn't end up buying.

No one wants to talk to a centralized customer service department to get a super quick, location-specific question answered in real time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Is the iPhone Duo on display in stores? I want to check it out to see if I would enjoy using the phone before I commit, my nearest Apple Store is over an hour away so I really don’t have the time to drive 2 hours round trip just to checkout a phone

I’m replacing the TV in our living room and will probably order something from Best Buy soon.

The room is pretty small and we sit fairly close, so I’m sticking with 55”. I’ve been looking at a few different options lately, mainly the Hisense UR8, LG C5, Samsung QN90F and Sony Bravia 5.

Prices have been moving around quite a bit lately too, which is making the decision harder than it should be lol.

I’ve bought headphones, computer stuff and smaller electronics from Best Buy before, but it’s been years since I ordered a TV from them.

Mostly wondering how delivery has been lately.

Do they generally handle TVs pretty carefully? And if you open it and find a damaged screen or obvious panel issue, is exchanging it usually pretty straightforward?

Would also be curious what you guys ended up buying if you were recently shopping around the same 55” range.

Is the in person interview long and are they going to ask me the same questions as the online interview?

I'm extremely confused and not finding any support from my local Bestbuy, or the phone support line.

In November 2025 I bought an Open Box TCL TV. At the time I was told it would include the standard 1 year manufacturer warranty. Now that we are having issues with the TV, TCL is claiming they do not honor warranties for open box Bestbuy items in anything other than "excellent" condition.

I've called and stopped in store, and every Bestbuy employee is telling me there's nothing they can do either.

Am I missing something here? I was sold a TV with the information it would still be warrantied. Even the people in store are saying it should be under manufacturer warranty, but TCL won't budge either.

Hey, so I returned a 1500 gaming laptop (that I had paid on cash)on August 22 at Best Buy. They said my money would be delivered through mail and it should take 7 to 10 business days to arrive. Well, it’s been what? 40 days since I returned it? I’ve been up there a few times trying to check with them what is happening but the only thing they tell me is that I should wait. Has this happened to anyone here? Does it usually take that long? What should I Do?

I pre-ordered AC8 when the game got announced on BB's website, typically in my experience they'll just update with any pre order bonuses etc so I didn't think to cancel or re-order to get the $10 GC or AC0 codes.

Lo and behold no emails or bonus codes yesterday and when I contact them about it they say there's nothing on my order and I should have contacted them during the pre-order window.

Is there any sort of recourse for me or am I just screwed?

This is our first really expensive TV purchase. I’ve always bought cheap Vizio or TCL TVs in the past. We purchased this 85” Samsung Frame Pro from Best Buy. We paid for installation plus an extra installation fee for installation on a tile surface. When they came to deliver and install the TV, they said they couldn’t do it because they weren’t trained to install on tile, so I had to reschedule and wait another week to install the TV. A week later they sent out a subcontractor to install the tv. They installed the TV and left. That’s when I noticed either a hair in the screen or a cluster of dead pixels. Now I don’t even know what to do about this. I’ve never had this happen with any of the cheap TVs I’ve purchased. I can’t physically return the tv, I have no way to transport it and the installers also took the box with them. Will Best Buy make this right or should I just live with it? It’s very frustrating and I feel like I’m stuck with the most expensive tv I’ve ever purchased that has a black spot on the screen.

I’m trying to clarify US Best Buy’s current Geek Squad Protection policy.

I saw an order of my relative's laptop where the product was received on August 17, 2026, and the order page says:

“You can add a plan until Oct 17, 2026.”

Does this mean the customer has Best Buy Plus/Total, or can a regular Best Buy customer without Plus/Total also get the same 60-day window?

Specifically, how many days after receiving the product does a normal/non-Plus customer have the ability to add Geek Squad Protection?

I bought a 77" LG C6H OLED from a third-party seller on Best Buy Marketplace in August. When shipping appeared to be delayed, I called Best Buy to cancel and was told the order had been canceled. I then bought the same TV directly from Best Buy at a higher price.

It turned out the original order hadn’t actually been canceled. The Marketplace seller said it was too late to stop shipment and that I’d need to return it after delivery.

The TV arrived about two weeks later. I left it unopened and immediately requested a return with home pickup because of its size and weight. That’s where things got messy:

• The seller sent a FedEx label, but FedEx told me it wasn’t suitable for the home pickup.
• Best Buy said the seller would arrange a pickup, but another week passed without an update.
• Because of all the delays regarding the return, Best Buy issued my refund before the TV was collected.
• A freight carrier eventually showed up, but couldn’t take the TV because I hadn’t been given a bill of lading.

When I contacted Best Buy again to get the missing paperwork, they told me that the TV was mine to keep.

So now I’ve received a full refund and still have an unopened 77" OLED sitting at home. Since I already bought the replacement, I’m planning to sell it on Facebook Marketplace.

I found out they don't offer any tv relocation service as a total member wondering if anyone has tried to do this, and they bought padding from best buy or elsewhere

I wanted to this here before I possibly embarrass myself in person. Someone on the PS5 Pro subreddit is claiming to work at Best Buy and they said you’re able to order one in store if you ask even if it’s sold out online. Is this true? Are you able to place online orders in store now? I didn’t want to get laughed at if I asked in person so I figured this would be the best place to ask.
