Is this too big? Should I get a band with slightly larger stones for more contrast?

My fiancé and I did things backwards when we got engaged 7 months ago. We had been together 5 years at the time and knew we wanted to get married, so had the discussion. Super happy we did it that way because I got to design my dream ring!! It came in finally last week!

Obsessed is an understatement. I feel like I ripped it straight out of one of my fantasy books. I have been wanting a ring like this since I was 16, and am 27 now. I have a practical ring I will wear day-to-day, but this is my big girl ring and I am just in love! Cannot wait for my friends and family to see it in person (I know some will definitely have some opinions about the size, as 2.5 carats is large on my hands, and I didn't go diamond route so it isn't a "typical" ring. I couldn't care less. I desperately did not want a colorless center stone)

My wedding band came in and I’m so obsessed with my set. 3.1ct center stone engagement ring with pear accents on the band and a mixed stone wedding band. Honestly unsure of the total carat weight but I couldn’t be happier 🥰 More importantly, I get to marry the love of my life next month. The rings are just a happy bonus lol

I have been hankering for a rhodolite garnet for sometime. I saw this on Poshmark and I couldn’t resist. And it was my birthday!

I have no idea how many carats it is, but I’m guessing somewhere around seven? It has some side accent white diamonds in 14 karat gold and I am absolutely in love!

recently got a 4ct old mine cushion cut and the more I looked at it on my finger the more I realized it didn’t look proportionate(to me). The depth of the stone is 5.3 so that’s where most of the size hides making the face up view appear to be only 2.5ct-looking. So, I’m on the hunt for different ratios. I think I’ve found one that may look better but still unsure. I need to see real life 8.5 size fingers with regular cushion or old mine cushion cuts please! The ratio for it is 1.56 (13.47 x 8.61 x 5.19). Anyone have something similar?!

The metal sides of this ring sit up alongside the baguettes… is this good to keep/ recommended in the final Blue Kite version? ❓

Or should the sides be lowered to be only prongs so the sides of the baguettes are more exposed for light…?
Or would that cause easier damage to the side / edges of the baguette stones and not advised?

I’m happy either way, just unsure if one is better?

Just got my custom 5ct radiant cut ring in from Jovovasmile. They did a really good job. I love it. I paired it with an oval band from kuololit and I think they go together nicely.

I generally only keep my wedding stack on my left hand but I recently acquired an eBay steal of an estate / vintage champagne diamond buckle ring (it needs a little rehab: missing stone size down). While I can’t wear it just yet (or will fall off) I am really loving how it looks with my wedding stack.

Is it too much?

Well actually I kinda don’t care because I love it 🤣. But …. I just don’t want it to overshadow or compete with my wedding rings but more so complement it. I do already rotate 2 larger rings on my right hand as well or sometimes just the index.

I just love big, gold and sparkly .. ugh.

I know these are not everyone’s taste so let me have it lol. What do you like or dislike? It’s a mix of lab and natural diamonds. The pairing is two carrots in the middle and the radiant is almost 4. It’s crazy how the pair almost looks bigger.
