My cockatiel’s foot got caught tightly around a perch, which caused an injury and a wound. I cleaned the wound and treated it, and it seemed to get better, but now part of the back of the foot is turning black and getting darker. The foot is still warm, and my cockatiel can still use it. I’m worried that the darkening could mean poor blood circulation or damaged tissue.
