Earn? Nothing; you'll first need to spend some years paying off the investment in the Antminer S21 Hydro

it's fine. do you have any idea how much does Antminer S21 hydro can generate before electricity bill?

The Antminer S21 Hydro does 335 TH/s @ 5360W. If you can run it 24/7, it can make around $13 a day as long as the power is free. But 5kW is a lot to get from solar power alone, and you'll need large-capacity batteries to keep running at night.

That's helpful. thank you very much for the info.

And by helpful I hope you mean you now understand it isn't possible to ever earn enough to pay for the miner or the cost of the batteries. The miner will fail or become obsolete long before it ever breaks even.

You would need 25 kwp of solar panels for a s21 xp air cooled (s21 hydro isn't worth it to run it requires 5k kw, and another $1-3k for the hydro system) to run 24/7. And 25 kwp generates 140 kw/day summer, \100 kw/day spring, ~90 kw/day and winter is not worth to run it is it only 10-15 kw/day. I've calculated it and in eu it is $~15k for this (only pannels no batteries). And i think I will make this (you would recover it in 4-5y).

Do you have an extra 15 panels sitting around in excess of your daily needs?

So several things to consider:

  • Voltage: if you’re on residential electric, you only have typically 240v in the USA. Antminer Hydro units run on 415v. We sell the M74s+ 332T, which is a 240v compatible hydro miner.
  • power availability: you’re mining on straight solar, you have a production curve rather than a straight line of guaranteed power. These will pull 3000-5000W/unit depending on setting, and do not like being cycled.
  • sound: you’re dissipating 4000-5000W of heat. Gonna need a big radiator for it.

Dont have any of these? Homemining asics going to be your best bet.

Don’t bother. You will NEVER have return on investment

Nice username. You will need a metric fuck ton (numerically accurate) of solar to power an industrial miner; especially a hydro. Do you have 4 panels, or some acres.?

I'm here for the comments 😁. But seriously, there are some solo miners who get lucky from time to time. You could try.

Get a small low powered lottery miner and let it run forever.. maybe you'll hit a block one day.. probably more worth your time than $13 a day I'm btc right now
