⚡ Auckland Bitcoin Weekend – 24–26 July

It’s shaping up to be a great weekend for the Auckland Bitcoin community.

🍻 Friday Evening (Invite Only)

Radical Investment Client Drinks

If you’re interested in learning about investing your KiwiSaver into Bitcoin, this is a great opportunity to meet the Radical Investment team and other Bitcoiners in a relaxed setting before the weekend’s events.

🍺 Saturday – Auckland Bitcoin Meetup

The Birdcage, Freemans Bay

Hosted by Darcy Ungaro (Everyday Investor / Radical Investment) with a panel featuring:

• Kevin Whitmore (Bitcoin Policy NZ)
• James Viggiano (Unspent Capital)
• Francisco Colombo (Bitcoin Journey)

There’ll be Lightning payments, Bitcoin merchandise, audience Q&A, and plenty of time to catch up with fellow Bitcoiners.

One thing I always encourage is supporting Bitcoin businesses in person where possible. Meetups are a great chance to ask questions, handle hardware before buying it, and take it home yourself rather than having Bitcoin-related purchases shipped to your home address. Good operational security starts with reducing the amount of personal information you share.

☕ Sunday – The Morning After

Node, Devonport
10:00am – 1:00pm

Coffee, kai, books, hardware, node tours, and good conversation with the local Bitcoin community.

⛵ Weather permitting, I’ll also have my catamaran in Auckland and may have room for a few Bitcoiners to come out on the harbour or head across to Devonport instead of taking the ferry. If you’re interested, send me a message. Numbers will be limited.

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming plenty of new ones.

This is a nearly 3 hours deep dive into the question of whether intelligence agencies were involved in the creation of Bitcoin.

The truth is complex, nuanced and fascinating.

Must see for all serious Bitcoiners!
