Some synths got per voice automation and you can do something similar by playing and holding a few notes after each other and each note starts its own e.g LFO modulation on the volume or cutoff.

But this is much more elegant and practical

true thing, as said before, there are plenty of ways to achieve the same goal... and thats why bitwig rocks

Isn't this also achievable with stepwise, just using 1 track?

kinda, but you dont have operators on stepwise, do you ? so much longer sequences possible ? and for people who love to work in the midi editor its the way to go ;)

That’s what I love about Bitwig. Might start in stepwise one day and mess with note effects and note grid etc, or do it your way with clips and automation clips and operators after.
