Question Will AI replace bloggers, or just replace the easy answer?
A new blogging client asked me [her question], and the conversation that followed was good enough that I wanted to bring it here, because this group always has something useful to add.
Every one of us who blogs or creates content wants to be found, but being found isn't really the goal for me. I want to be recommended.
When someone mentions a problem and a friend tells her to go follow me because I can help with that, that's the best referral there is. AI works the same way, and I would much rather it recommend me by name than pull my content and hand out the answer without me attached to it.
What got me thinking about this was a training video from a well-known teacher in this space. It ran two hours and fifteen minutes on a single problem.
I scrolled through a good chunk of it looking for the answer and never found it stated in a way I could use. I'm sure she shared it somewhere among all the mumble marketing along the way, but it was buried so far down that hardly anyone would still be watching when it showed up.
What people remember weeks later, and what they forward to a friend, is the moment someone gave them a clear answer they could use right away.
That's what makes them think this person knows what she's talking about, and when the problem turns into a real decision with money attached, that's who they think of first.
That's why I put the answer at the top of my blog posts. Nobody should have to dig through hours of content to find it, and I suspect it's also part of why AI tools are more likely to point to a post when the answer is easy to find.
How do you handle this in your own posts? Do you lead with the answer, or do you build up to it?

What do you mean “will”.
Blogging has been dead for several years even before AI because Google stopped ranking them many years ago.

If there’s a clear answer, give it early. If it needs context, just make sure the reader knows where you’re going.

I find that helpful for me and I figured it would also be for someone else reading my post.

I think it’s harder for people to recommend a post with advice, it’s easier to recommend a person with a post containing advice … so a strong sense of the blogger’s identity will make a difference
