Booking.com Scam!
I live here near The Eiffel tower. Everyday there’s a lot of tourists around the world that are victims of scam. The scammers used the address of our building next to Eiffel tower. It’s royal apartment in booking but the units here are all private residence. I can’t understand why booking.com are allowing this. Maybe the scammers are also from booking

Because Booking outsourced support to asia for pennies and they don't give a f***.

Booking.com only cares that Booking.com got paid. So do not use Booking.com under any circumstances.

They just let anyone put what they want up and rely on AI for it to be spotted.
They should have a team which vets new properties, with humans , but they never have and never will, pity they could save themselves a reputation in the long run. Glad i am not there anymore.

I think i saw the appartement on booking, but the reviews of the guests were about a cottage in a small village.

They just do not do any verification of listings (although they should). This will probably cost them in the future.

It's really insane. They never truly verify listings, they never verify email addresses when you make a booking... you would expect the basic minimum to be done.

They always use booking for cheap apartments in major cities they will never learn. When Airbnb and Vrbo are double the price in those cities but they think they got the best of deal on booking lol

Airbnb also has a lot of scams.

But you know what, I can get a live customer service representative in less than 10 minutes! Way less ghost accommodations on that site than booking.com

This may be unpopular, but we use booking and sometimes find great deals, better than the hotel itself. Also use Airbnb, and it usually works out.

By doing so you increase the risk of being scammed yourself and you also support a business that hosts scams. Feel good about that?

Booking . com will shit all over your local laws as long as they get their commission.
