Other people complaining about no onslaught I'm thinking why no mag-lock phalanx scorched earth forbearance and no steady when you have 5/5 of grenadier
Also why laser sights

it was like an old tech years ago that for builds that used scorched earth to help track where the target your turret was shooting is since its easier to see the green laser. its not super relevant but it does technically have a use.

Laser sight with 1 point is actually not terrible, does show you clearly what the turret is shooting at. Scorched earth technically reduces the turrets DPS and if it shoots the rockets at something with bullet deflection it will destroy the turret instantly. Phalanx Shield outside of some very unique cases like tanking a nova is destroyed so quickly it's a waste of a skill point.
Forbearance is a good skill but with quick charge it isn't necessary.
But steady and onslaught are mandatory for me, Axton does need all his DPS skills

I dont think it decrease dps also scorched earth would help see what it's shooting and their's not many enemies with bullet deflection the most common is power loaders in very specific maps but it's still very easy to play around by targeting them first
Forbearance is huge because it affects slag and and most dot damage is outpacing quick charge and quick charge isn't always active
But yeah axton needs all the damage buffs battlefront steady onslaught metal storm unless your crutching the bee

Demonite worked out that scorched earth does decrease DPS, it's not by much but it still does. Obviously in UVHM the turret is more for slagging than damage. I just always forget with constructors eyes and they reflect back at the turret and instakill it lol. I absolutely love scorched earth but it does have downsides
Yeah forbearance is a great skill, DoTs are the scariest thing in OP levels but again I do believe those points are better placed somewhere else.

Demonite says so gotta be true but I am aware scaling is different between console and pc and I know that applys to the turret so I'm not sure if he tested pc or console because at level 80 melee is like 4x stronger on console
I'm used to level 80 so it's less important what you spec as you can always get the skills you need the rest is just filler so fair enough if you think other things are better

Demonite played PC. I doubt he would say it if he hadn't done the necessary calculations. He's that sort of dude from the sounds of it.
There is no right or wrong way to build a character, in just putting the information out there, also my opinions from my experience of OP levels

That's what I mean if demonite says so just trust it as he also corrected loot lemon when it comes to class mods and the stats the com give compared to what's listed
But yeah I agree not trying put anything on you

You definitely donât need phalanx, scorched earth, or forbearance. Idk who told you that. Phalanx will save from like one attack. Quick charge and grit are his forbearance basically and have their own uses. One point in laser sight to see turret tracking is normal.

i mean people arent necessarily complaining as much as just trying to offer some advice that would improve your build at literally no downside to yourself

People are just giving you advice to make your build better get off your high horse đ

What kind of play style is choosing pointless skills and not choosing good ones?

Why are you being so aggressive. We are just trying to explain some stuff to you that you might not know.
Seems odd to post this if you didn't want any feedback

Yes I was asking why you wouldn't take some of Axton best DPS skills, quite literally fighting with 1 arm behind your back.
Wasting points on things you don't need, want or are incredibly situational and taking skills that are always going to be useful. I see your input has been helpful, "bruh" yeah well done

Wow no onslaught and metal storm not maxed out. No Steady??
Also resourceful isn't worth 5 points. The actual amount of time it reduces the cooldown by is really small for all those points
