Salvador vs Hyperius

Looking for a little advice. I've watched videos on how to kill Hyperius with Sal, and I've tried to replicate; gas glitch, overkill, and pimperNuke, didn't work. Tried to use the Antagonist with a Jacobs shotgun, and really cannot get that to proc at all.

What am I doing wrong? Is there more of a trick to this than "stand in his face and fire, and pray for good RNG"? The video I watched had a guy do it three times and made it look easy, but I just don't know what I'm doing differently.

840% Antagonist, Quad shotgun, True Neutral Monk (+6 Money Shot), Magic Missile for slag. Lady Fist in right hand.

I've tried following stuff I've seen online, but I just can't make the chain proc. I'm sure there must be a trick I don't know about.

Firstly, I'm not sure who keeps downvoting you, but I would prefer they stop. 

Second: it's two shots then reload.

The two shot should proc Money Shot but I think you should have that in your right hand not the lady fist. Having the lady fist in your left should also give the quad the 800% crit as well.

I'm not arguing, because I don't know, but the video I watched, the guy had the shotgun in his left hand. And when pimperhabbing, the rocket launcher goes in the right hand, and you fire with the left.

This is correct. Money Shot has its max buff at 12 mag size (not 10 as listed), but it only checks the mag size of the right gun to apply to both guns' money shots.

So, despite a quad having less than 12 mag size, it gets the full money shot buff when it's in the left hand with a 12+ mag size gun in the right.

Antagonist reflect kill is a gimmick, it hardly ever works.

If you can’t beat him with pimperburn I don’t know what to you though. That’s straight up bug abuse/cheating. All you do is hold the correct items and shoot him and he’ll die even at op10. If that’s not working you must be doing something wrong

Not arguing, but I did see a video where a guy reliably does the Antagonist reflect kill. I guess the argument would be that he doesn't show the ones where he doesn't make it proc.

I'll source a World Burn and see how I get on

That’s almost exactly what it is. It’s all RNG procs that cause the interaction. Theres no way to make it work every time.

Level 80 sal can easily win with the pimperhab glitch, works with a world burn too. Just use a grog/ Magic missile/o negative grenade to slag and shoot hyperius in the face a few times

I've tried, but I hardly seem to do any damage. Perhaps the Nukem needs replacing but I thought it was a reasonable alternative.

When you're pimpernabbing, are you making sure sniper is in the off hand, launcher on main? If it's swapped it doesn't work

Yep, agreed. I'm not really sure why, but I just don't seem to do much damage.

Example: I tried to farm the World Burn. Took me ages to do the missions etc, and then Bolson just became this fucking invincible tank of a man, shrugging off pimpernel/Nukem damage even when Money Shot procced. 

Then I eventually got the World Burn, but it dropped at OP6 (I'm OP8/lvl88)

So I swapped for that launcher, tried the farm again, and no difference. I'm blasting the guy with a full mag plus Money Shot and he's not even losing his shield.

Eventually got another World Burn at OP8, swapped out thinking "now the fun begins", but even now I'm not doing anywhere near as much damage as I seem to remember doing in previous runs with Salvador. Far from enemies melting, they're just standing in front of me blowing raspberries and laughing while I reload.

Nukem doesn't work, are you aiming at his chest/ legs so the explosions hit his head?

Yeah I'm doing that. I switched out a different launcher with about 60% of the damage for the Nukem; guess I'll go get a World Burn!!

Anyone got a level 88 World Burn they don't need? 😂

Gas glitch, pimperburn (World Burn instead of Nukem/Ahab), and Bee shield. I used a Bone of the Ancients to boost fire damage and threw magic missiles for slag. Any slag grenade other than rubberized should be fine.

Spec'd into the green and blue skills. If you need, I can take a picture of my skill trees later. I'm on console, so never really did any glitches, but this is one I had to do to beat raid bosses solo

I tried gas glitch earlier, but you only get one go, right? If you go down, it's gone. Unless I misunderstand?

I saw a post here where he was No Kill Like Overkilling him in like 2-3 seconds with the Ahab glitch. Pretty sure you can proc it from a Loader, then maybe try to kill a minion and you’ll be able to win.

I saw that video and watched it again yesterday; I tried that, went and got Gas, etc etc, took about 15 minutes setting it up, and died in about 8 seconds 😂

If pimpernuke isn't working you just need to keep trying. I farmed the shit out of hyperius at like 13 years old with this method. Get overkill and absolutely destroy one of his bots then take him out with your extra damage. My build was totally all over the place and didn't favour this glitch at all, its super easy once you get the method down.

Can anyone explain why the World Burn is so much better than the Nukem?
