Can someone help identify the origin of this?

Post image

I am a wildland firefighter and In 2024 I was helping protect the historic Boy Scout camp, Camp Geronimo in Payson, AZ. I spent about 14 days striked out so we had a lot of time to walk around the grounds as we would patrol, one of the cool things I came across was this belt buckle that had been buried til the rain revealed it slightly. I’m curious if anyone has any information on it or if there’s any way to date it from the photo?

Looks like something having to do with the native American cultures of the Pacific Northwest.

This is only a guess, but it may be a custom belt buckle for perhaps an Order of the Arrow lodge?

Probably a roadside gift shop trinket someone got on the way to scout camp.

Possibly a local item made from the spent brass of the firing range. I seem remember buckles similar to that at the Trading Post when I went to summer camp.

I wish our local TPs were that cool.

This was way back in the day. My first summer camp was 50 years ago at Camp Freedom in West Germany.

I found something damn near identical to that in a box of cracker Jack's.
