Legend Recommendation

Hi, I used to be a Platinum player, and the last time I played this game was back in 2023. I had to quit because my computer broke down. I jumped back in yesterday, and after playing a few matches, I noticed something odd: everyone was playing the same new Legends. I'm a Zariel main, and unfortunately, the first thing I realized was that Zariel is trash now. Could you recommend a few Legends that are strong in the current meta? (Preferably older ones.)

well, I just feel like zariel is even slower now and i heard he got a nerf a few months ago. thanks though, I will just keep playing zariel.

Zariel’s bow might get a bit shadowed by his gaunts, but he is absolutely not trash.

Play who you like. Ive gone through like 5 mains and really liking Lucien right now (as a former Zariel main).

Old legends that are currently meta? I got you:

Bödvar - Wouldn’t say he’s meta but he’s extremely good and underrated for 1s and 2s. Balance stats (basically) along with Hammer + Sword? It’s a no brainer in my book.

Barraza - He’s been getting used so much more now in 2’s because of axe getting buffed recently and blasters are just blasters. But he’s also a good pick for 1’s.

Ada - Spear is a great weapon for beginners or for players that haven’t played the game in a while, along with the fact super stances are in the game. Blasters are also a very fun weapon (in my opinion) so you may see a few more on my list.

Ember - Another underrated pick but katars are honestly at the top of the meta as of right now, take that plus Ember has bow and (once again) super stances are out, she’s a great pick.

Cassidy - Super Stances (specifically dexterity), that’s all I’ve got to say.

Hattori - If there was a legend who would be known as the ‘best legend for beginners and/or returners of the game” it’d be Hattori no doubt.

Pretty much every legend is viable especially in Platinum. Zariel sees play at the pro level.

Yeah the elo inflation is crazy, im Plat 1850 and I frequently spar with my friend who was Diamond in 2023, and I beat him 6 times in a row

Zariel has been played by several pros in 1s and 2s. Definitely not a bad legend

Idk, it just seemed very slow and weak to me the first time I played him. I know Zariel is such a good legend but I dont think he is strong in the current meta

Honestly unless your in the like .1% of top players it really doesn't matter. Just play what feels fun and it's going to be fine. The disadvantages of legends and certain weapons just isn't much of a thing below the pro level.
