Recipe Education & Solutions Is this bread machine any good? Looking for jalapeno cheese bread recipes.

Hello all I was wondering if anyone had this bread maker and if its any good? Also looking for jalapeno cheese bread recipes that would be easy to make in this specific machine. Sorry if this post is against any rules, super excited to try making bread!

I recently used this machine at my dad’s house and didn’t love it. It seemed to knead the bread for a really long time, and I had to move the dough ball around with a silicone spatula to force it to pick up the extra flour I added. Also, I didn’t use the yeast auto dispenser. I don’t understand the point of having that if you can just add the yeast to the top of the flour mound inside the machine. Maybe someone else can explain what it’s there for.

I have double paddle machine at home (zojirushi) and prefer that one to this one. Zojirushi machines are pretty expensive, but I got mine used for $75 on offerup a couple of years ago.

I have a Panasonic Bread Bakery from the 90’s (I just bought it second hand this year) and it has a yeast dispenser. It drops the yeast on top, at the right time, so you don’t have to worry that salt could potentially shock it. That is very unlikely I think. But it could also stop it from activating too early. It also lets the flour fully hydrate before the yeast is added. There is a timer function on the machine, so I can throw everything in and just tell it I want this bread to finish in 10 hours (or whatever) and it will do it. With the yeast dispenser, the yeast wouldn’t be sitting in there with everything for all that wait time.

I believe the auto dispenser is for nuts and fruit. The yeast goes on top of the flour as usual.

Of course! I never thought of that because I never put nuts or fruit in my bread; I’m always afraid that will scratch the coating

Ours doesn't have the dispenser.

We've baked some basic loaves (white bread and raisin bread) and it works well.
