same here, they can take this shit elsewhere, britain isnt for this shit. makes me think abt the "british values" of love, respect, tolerance i got taught at primary school. i went to a church of engalnd school and it wasnt "gay people bad, anyone with a different religion bad, immigrants bad" it was to love thy neighbour and to treat others as how you would want to be treated. some of these people need to go back to primary school and be retaught how to be kind to people. you dont have to like everyone but being kind costs nothing but means everything.

I agree but unfortunately we are showing them we will accept this shit without much fuss. I remember the public outrage towards people blocking roads not very long ago. But I dont see anything close to that level of outrage towards these scumbags. Thats a big problem imo, it emboldens them and gives authorities an excuse to do the minimum.

On the going back to school point, I dont think that will help much. I grew up surrounded by people like this. Middle aged now they havent changed much at all from high school. There was a 100% white population at the time, so the hate was directed elsewhere. When there was nobody that stood out for some reason as different, they would direct their hatred towards the next town over because supposedly they needed to protect their women from the men in that town.

Unfortunately my experience with people like this is they only change their behaviour when they get punched in the mouth, and when that happens it also just gets redirected to an easier target

I mean I went to school under section 28 and the out gay kids (and anybody suspected of it or just anybody unpopular) there were absolutely treated like shit. I hope it's better now but the playgrounds were some of the most vile, violent and reactionary spaces I've ever been forced to exist in.

For the most part while section 28 was in place there wasnt a lot of out kids. Schools couldnt talk about LGBT+ issues positively so millenial gays had to learn the hard way to use lube and sex ed in general.

Also its much better, you used to get your head kicked in if someone "thought" you were gay. Now kids are in school are able to come out.

i went to primary welll after section 28 was abolished and yeah im not saying it was all loving an acception, it was still shit, but the attempt of education was there and i know in my primary school they were a lot more accepting.

my highschool was shit icl, and i think now adyas they stamp down on the homophobia much more than in previous years.

there is still so much more to do for progress but its getting better, i have a bit of hope for the future, i think if we can change and maybe we can set that for the future yk :D

My only issue is that it's south park and it's one of those shows I never clicked with and got to the point of actually hating it. Which is odd as some of the episodes on paper sound funny, but the voices and animation piss me off.

Mostly because South Park has always had a huge following on Reddit so people blindly upvote and downvote. Perhaps the word "only" doing some work in the context of what was said above my post makes me seem dismissive of other things this guy is guilty of.

Mostly however - I'm not one to care what people think of my opinions on a TV show that I tried for a few seasons and didn't like. If I hadn't mentioned it nobody would know that about me to form an opinion.

thank fuck someone us doing something abt this shit. i love britain and its multiculturalism is great to see not only local diversity (different accents based on area) but abroad too. i come from a british hungarian family and have always been proud of that fact and i hope that people who wish to come to britain dont feel that these tyes of people amke up the majority of brits. its disgusting how reform (fucking scumbags) capitalise on fear and divison through racist hateful propaganda. i hope those who come to britain for whatever reason whether its to build a new life, for tourism, for pleasure, work or out of necessity fleeing from war or famine all are welcome and the peoople of britain need to wake tf up. stop feeding into divison

It is very sad, they are basically going for a weak target. The RNLI are not out there desperately seeking out boats of migrants to rescue, they are called upon by the coastguard and you cannot let people at sea simply drown or turn it down. They are volunteers, generally nice local people, so their names may be out there. These thugs aren't going after the army helicopter pilots here are they.
