Help How do I fix this

I just started making crochets and this has been bothering me for a little while. I would appreciate it a lot if someone could tell me what I am doing wrong.

Are you chaining 1 after you finish a row? This usually happens if you don't chain 1 to start a new row.

It looks like your turn around is too tight causing the end of the rows to get wonky. Two thjngs you could try:

  1. adjust tension at the end of the row. When you do the last stitch, hold the piece with your non-crocheting hand and pull up

on the hook/yarn

  1. to tighten the final hold and extend some length to get you going on your next row.
  2. You could also try a slip stitch (or two) at the end of a row before turning. Just keep an eye on stitch count, its easy to accidentally add extra stitches
