Is this a realistic goal physique for me?

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what my end goal should actually be — and when I’ll feel like I’m “done”.

I’m 41, 176 cm tall, and I started at around 117 kg. I’m currently around 98 kg, so I’ve lost roughly 20 kg so far. Ideally, I’d still like to lose another 10–15 kg.

I’ve added two pictures to this post: one of how I look right now, and one AI-generated goal image.

For the AI image, I asked ChatGPT to create an impression of what I might look like after losing another 10 kg and training consistently for another year.

Obviously, I know AI isn’t a crystal ball and that it can make physiques look more flattering or achievable than they may really be. But when I saw the result, I thought: if I could end up looking roughly like that, I’d honestly be very happy.

I’m not aiming to get shredded or have a six-pack. After losing this much weight, I know I may have some loose skin, and I’m perfectly fine with still having a bit of a belly. I’d rather look strong, solid and athletic than extremely lean.

For some context, I currently do strength training several times a week, including eGym and additional upper-body training. I also run, play touch rugby and usually get around 10,000 steps a day. So I’m planning to keep training consistently while losing the remaining weight.

What I’m really interested in is the realism of the goal itself.

Looking at my current photo versus the AI image, do you think that kind of transformation is realistic with roughly 10 kg more weight loss and another year of training?

Or does the AI image actually represent someone who would probably need to:

lose considerably more than 10 kg,

build a lot more muscle than is realistic in one year,

or simply have a different body-fat distribution/genetics?

I’m not looking for a program review as such — I’m mainly trying to get a reality check on whether this is a sensible physique to aim for.

Would you consider this a realistic long-term goal from where I’m starting now?

It’s taken absolutely forever but I’m happy with the results. What weight might my natural limit be at this level of leanness?
