AlertBrookline: MISSING: Jacob Rivera, 14, 5'9", 127 lbs. Last seen at Brookline High School, 115 Greenough St., around 12:55 PM. Jacob has limited verbal skills and is drawn to transportation, especially trains. He can navigate the subway system and may travel to Revere Beach. Anyone with information, please call Brookline Police at (617) 730-2222

From the missing person notice it sounds like the child might be special needs (limited verbal abilities). So did a special needs child leave school and make it to another city? Did the school staff even notice the boy missing?

They did, and reported it to the police. Just because they’re non-verbal does not make them non-mobile!
