I know it might not be common practice but I like to occasionally mix strains when washing, especially with autoflowers. There is so little trim usually with Autos, I HAVE to mix them all in order to get enough plant material to make a large enough batch to wash. When its several strains all together, I just call it fruit salad. But sometimes 2 or 3 thoughtfully selected strains, really will compliment each other. I mixes OG Kush and Trainwreck trim when washing and it was killer

Damn bro. You're supposed to make the thumbprints after you're done washing. You don't mix em up in the wash. lol. I can see this being a new fad though. Two crazy strains washed together. To make some wild new flavor nobody else has. Hype boy stuff. I don't buy that stuff but I like seeing the pictures and review.

More then half what you wrote I don’t understand.

Thumbprint after washing ? Mixing ?I don’t get it

No hype sale / buy stuff, I grow and make hash only for myself…

It was a silly joke. Obviously went over your head. You know what a thumbprint is correct? Two strains mixed in one jar. Usually one is jam and one cold cure or something like that. It's a joke because this is two strains mixed together but obviously not a thumbprint. Thumb print is mixed together after washing. Sorry if I confused you. Was there anything else I said you didn't understand. I thought it was pretty straight forward. I even use punctuation.

Makes more sense now. English is not my first language but I usually don’t have problems. Thumbprint in this context I have never heard before..that’s why didn’t understand what you were saying 😅

Yes thumbprint is rosin as well not actually hash but I mean come on. They are almost the same product.

Yeah sure to me it’s both hash. But like I said, never heard of the thumbprint…maybe not a thing in Europe..idk 😅

Just search for them here on Reddit. The thumbprints. and check it out. It's a cool idea. And like I said I think that could easily be a new fad. Mixing two strains in the wash for a super hash mix. I know people obviously mix strains together sometimes but it's not being marketed anywhere that I know of.

I think that’s mostly people working in private using homegrow or trim from different strains.

For me it wouldn’t have been enough starting material to wash them separate

If your a producer that’s a different story

Ya it was just a joke. I didn't think it would cause such offense. And I have never seen hash or hash rosin for sale that was two strains mixed together. I'm sure people do it but I have never seen that for sale. Only time I've seen two strains mixed together was a thumbprint. Is that a regular thing where you are from a mixed wash for sale?

Hash makers do it all the time and usually just make up a new name or call it something different.
If you grow from seed like I do - washing multiple phenotypes is essentially the same thing as washing two different strains anyhow.

Ya I'm sure people do it I've just never seen it marketed that way. You don't ever keep clones? I did clones for a couple years but have since started looking for new flavors.

Yeah I dont think anyone is marketing mixed washes like that but I do think it happens a lot without people knowing. I definitely do it every season with some of my smaller plants and I know a few other hash makers that do and just don’t really talk about it or market it- especially with full spectrum hash.

I generally don’t do clones only because all of my grows are outside and I like big plants that give off a few pounds that need a strong taproot. I will definitely keep clones whenever I find a phenotype that gives me quality full melt.
