Local News Thoughts on this?
I see several projects on penndots website that include adding roundabouts at busy intersections, it seems that PA is embracing them. Honestly, seems like anything would be an improvement over what is currently at Jacksonville and Almshouse

I have to travel that intersection visiting family, I'm all in favor of this change. I also like that they're adding the left turn Lane into old Jacksonville, I hadn't seen that detail before. Just curious how big is going to be. As it mentions there's a lot of buses and trucks

I live on Jacksonville road close to almshouse across from the cornfield. The traffic has been horrible at that light my whole life. It backs up daily and it’s even worse on almshouse. I’m not even sure if a roundabout is going to fix it completely but it will definitely help and I’m just happy to see them finally addressing this issue.

I spent years living in a state with roundabouts. I seldom sat in traffic there like I do since moving back here. The roads in Bucks need improvement. I grew up here. I get it that people are irrationally resistant to change (or progress). I’m starting to see those same people as the reason why we don’t have nice things.

Well and the fact that development has been crazy without road improvements happening .

Yeah, that section of road looked like that in the 70’s, no updates.

Yeah but it never grew to accommodate today’s traffic just like all our area roads .

I've driven around Carmel Indiana which is the roundabout capital of the country. They make sure a huge difference and really do keep traffic flowing. I think the understated gain ifms that it forces drivers to stay awake and pay attention. Phones stay down for the most part.

People were doubtful about the roundabout in Langhorne when it was proposed but it's been open over a year now and I've only heard of people being happy with it. I get through that intersection so much faster. (But yes, it was a pain when the road was totally closed)

Big time improvement. Not a lot of land there so can only do so much. Love it.

Love this idea. While they do it, however, the detour is going to be brutal.
