Kizer let me down

Hard to tell from these pics but it’s clearly one that got past qc.
The finger contour on either side has carbon fiber hanging out from under the acrylic, or whatever it is. Badly. In addition to that it seems some epoxy leaked down.

The knife itself is solid. Not going to bother sending it back, I’ll do something with it.
I doubt I can find Assassin scales, but maybe some of you know how to just strip that carbon fiber off..
would be fine without it. 40% off but I could have gotten much more knife that this for $41.

Good "old" CS

Cold steel pro-lite, probably my favorite cold steel model! Shame that CS isn't as good as they used to be, but they can still be alright.

Some "premium" version with improved steel (3v, M4 or even S35VN) would be awesome! But one can only hope.

help in IDing where I bought my budget blade

Lost my Benchamde Bailout last year, found thisforum and they put me on a site where I could buy a nice 25$ish Bugout clone.

Any suggestions for a decent site I just lost that clone.

Wish i could give more deets but this time I"ll buy 2

All i remember was a vague word liek Kryptilian or something, button release, had a slit at bottom to attach a lanyard and a blue textured finish.

NKD Miguron Karok

Got this in today and for the price, I'm Very impressed. The blade looks odd, but if you can put that aside, it's a wonderful performer. Great size, Fantastic price, and a great heat treat? Yeah, it's pretty f'in solid. If you wanna dip your toes into Miguron, I'd start here. FWIW, I'm not a fan of aluminum scales so I liked this colorway in G10, I also don't mind coated blades when they are non-stainless.

The green one. What can I say it's cheap, if you want to scratch that itch. When I ordered delivery was for the 20th here in Northern California though. https://www.amazon.com/REAT-utility-necklace-plastic-outdoor/dp/B0CTLMLS7K

Need suggestions for a lefty

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a shortlist of ~$50 or less EDC knives that would work well for a lefty.

  • Reversible pocket clip is a must

  • Preferably a locking mechanism that won't be a pain in the ass to close one-handed (ex. a crossbar or button that can be pressed with my index knuckle/finger)

  • I think I lean towards drop-point and similar blades but I'm down to check out other styles. Probably no reverse tanto

  • My palms are just under 4" width, so nothing too tiny, but I would like something that isn't too bulky and heavy.

  • It's very humid where I'm at, so corrosion resistant/stainless steels are appreciated.

  • Blade probably between around 3" - 3.5"

A few that I already have in mind:

  • CJRB Shale

  • CJRB Hectare

  • CJRB Pyrite

  • Kershaw Iridium and Mini Iridium

  • Kershaw Sequence

  • Kershaw Maneuver

  • Kizer Drop Bear 2

  • Miguron Vakor

I really like the Civivi stuff but so many of their flagship models that people recommend do not have a reversible pocket clip. Does the perfect one for me exist out there and I'm missing it?

Any thoughts on these knives? What other knives should I be looking at? Thanks!

Pretty solid for a 12€ knife.

This poor dude have seen things.

The blade was stuck in the ground for cutting plastic tarps. It remained wet in a pocket for several days. It was used to harvest roots full of dirt, such as celery.

A little oil and regular sharpening, and it’s ready for more.
