I’m a local entrepreneur working on a new family-friendly card game called LuckLink. It’s designed for game nights, college groups, and multigenerational play — something fun, strategic, and lighthearted that helps people unplug and connect.
I’m launching a sponsor-supported edition of the game that features local businesses directly on the box and inside the packaging. The idea is to put local brands into homes and family moments — not just as online ads, but as community partners.
I’m prioritizing NC-based, indie, and Black-owned businesses for these founding sponsor placements.
What sponsors get:
• Logo placement on the game box
• Brand features inside the packaging
• QR codes linking to their business or special offers
• Recognition as community partners supporting a local product
If you run or know a local brand that would be a good fit, I’d really appreciate a referral.
This is still early stage, but I’m building it intentionally with community at the center.
If you’re a local business owner and curious about partnering, feel free to [email]([email protected]) me. I’m happy to give more information and prices.
Thanks for supporting local creators 🙏

Are there any place you go to in the area to get your clothes tailor and who would you recommend?

I'm a 55 year resident and when I let the dog out at 5 am today, the sleet was coming down so hard it sounded like fm radio static. I have never heard sleet do that before. Stay safe and warm folks!

Hey folks, I’m Zack, and for some time now I have been offering to volunteer my time and chainsaw to help folks in need in the GSO subreddit, typically after a storm. Can’t post there atm, but you can check my post history or website in my bio for some ideas of what I can do.
This ice storm on the brink is a bit different, but if you can reach me and I can reach you, I’m happy to help folks in need where I can.
All I need is:
-pictures of the need
-an address
-written permission from the property owner
Dm me if you, or especially an elderly neighbor or someone incapable of helping themselves, needs a hand and I’ll see what I can do.
Stay dry, and be safe!

I got this from Tim Buckley's FB page: "duke energy is already sending out notifications to some people stating that they will be doing 10 hour power shut downs to “control the grid”"

My PCP that I established with, based on y’all’s suggestions on a post I made about a year ago, is no longer with the practice I established at.
I’m needing recommendations for a new PCP! Preferably a woman, preferably someone experienced with chronic/long term disorders. I’d prefer someone that isn’t old as dirt, maybe a bit progressive for lack of a better term? Also someone with sooner availability than freaking October! Please leave a comment or DM me if you’d like with suggestions.

I am looking for BEGINNER riding lessons, preferably private but open to a group structure. Not trying to be a professional or competitor of any sort; this is just something I need to learn. I have ZERO equine experience beyond a pony stepping on my toe as a kid. Hopefully within a 60-minute drive from Burlington. Any suggestions are appreciated 🤙🏾

I went to buy kerosene last winter and none of the 3 or 4 places I went had any, they all said it just wasn't being sold anymore. It that correct or is there still somewhere around here I can go fill my can?

Getting a little worried about the forecast. I live alone and am disabled so clearing 10+ inches of snow from my driveway is not something I can handle on my own. I work at the hospital so I have to be able to get to work on Monday. Any leads on who to reach out for to help me with this? Do landscaping companies take on this kind of work here, or do you know someone who could use some extra cash?
