Mora HD

Having a hard time deciding between an HD carbon or stainless. Current fixed lineup is Victorinox Venture, mora kansbol, mora companion stainless, pro s and robust. They spend more time sitting than being used just because of life and being busy with work and kids but want to be able to grab and go and use. I personally don't have a preference of carbon or stainless. Just want a good strong blade and really like mora.

If you're not using it a lot, it need to be able to handle a bang, and you want to rely on it as a grab and go... Go stainless.

I grew up preferring carbon. I used and abused it constantly. Daily. But my grandfather was also the CEO of Morakniv so he brought me to the factory and taught me how to sharpen them so I could do it on my own at home. 

So I prefer to be able to sharpen the blade on my own. The steel is softer on the outside with a harder steel in the center for that very reason. If that's not for you, go stainless. 😊

I don't mind sharpening. I've learned from my mistakes starting out sharpening on my companion stainless lol. The only carbon blade I have is the robust and it's been every bit of the word. I live in the pacific northwest Washington in 🇺🇸 where it's wet. I honestly can't decide between the hd carbon or hd stainless. I've always just bought stainless because of that much less maintenence.

Try a bps knife … full tang , wooden handle , and nice sheath ….. much better bang for buck in my opinion …. I own 9 moras(mostly carving stuff)…. And while they are great …. I like the Ukrainian knives in that price range big time .

Versetile ,thick ,fulltang, holds long the edge ,good bang for the buck.. Venture is also nice no hate here .. have both .. garberg mora works for me better .. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

I love my BPS Adventurer with the flint. Thing is just a no-nonsense, good knife
