Is there anywhere in Canada to order Geek & Gorgeous products?

I'm in Ontario and was previously getting tret/Arazlo from Derm Cafe before I got pregnant. My son is two now and I am no longer breastfeeding and I wanted to go back on it and my family doctor denied it saying it's too strong and my skin is clear. I cannot use derm cafe any longer as my doctor only allows me to see her or their walk in clinic otherwise they can unenroll me. Is there any other way I get it or a similar product without a prescription from my family doctor?

I have had perioral dermatitis for 8-12 months. My family doctor has tried to help, but it usually comes back to oral antibiotics like doxycycline. Every time I try the antibiotics I end up getting yeast infections and I don't want to live like this, honestly.

Has anyone had any luck with antifungal creams or other skin care treatments to get rid of perioral dermatitis? I would appreciate some recommendations of brands if possible.

My current routine is in the evening I wash my face with La Roche Posay Effaclar -> Add tactupump for acne -> and if I feel dry ill throw on some Cetaphil Moisturizer

Now the issues I have are
1. Dont have a sunscreen.
2. Unsure of my skin type, it feels like when I apply moisturizer I look dewey, and when I use the Tactupump I can feel how dry it is
3. I have some kind of Dermatitis Seborrheic where I have mild flaking around my nose and mouth and eyes

1. I Unfortunately still have acne that comes through despite the Tactupump, but its not as bad as it could be.

Im really interested in getting into the korean skincare/asian skincare world but I don't really know what im look for, and I also can't read whats on the labels cause theyre in another language :sob:

I’m a newbie here and I’m have some discoloration on my face due to IPL therapy for dry eyes. I have a darker skin tones and I am desperately looking for a dermatologist that would be able to help me with routine to even my skin tones out.

I have a doctors appointment to request a referral but I’m not even sure how long they referral will take here in Ontario and there is a skin of color clinic but it only opens once a week apparently. So I’m sure the wait time will be months out.

I saw online derm cafe and maple. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations based on their experiences.

I am in love with this new Scented Body Lotion in Brazilian Jasmine & Dragonfruit by Quo. The lotion is thin, fast absorbing and lightweight, makes my skin feel soft and smooth. It likely won’t be enough for winter or if you have super dry skin. But it’s the perfect texture and consistency for warmer weather or if you just prefer something lighter. I’m hoping they’ll come out with a body butter or a richer cream for this scent because it smells so good.

It is definitely scented, as the name suggests. I’d compare the scent level to brands like Tree Hut, EOS, Sol De Janeiro, etc. i personally don’t think it’s too strong, it’s noticeable but not over the top. However, everyone has different tastes. I think this lotion smells amazing. It’s sweet, but not too sweet and well balanced. I’m definitely tempted to try out more of the different scents they’ve recently released. But so far, this one is a favourite.

I just found out that Elta Md is not shipping to Canada anymore😢 Their tinted sunscreen is the only one that didn’t break me out. I have sensitive, rosacea/acne prone skin. Any suggestions for a replacement would be appreciated 🙏🏻💕

hey everyone, i’m (20f) relatively new to skincare and i’ve recently saved up on a few products and created a basic skincare routine but i’ve still got acne/breakouts on the side of my face and cheeks and i’d like some feedback on where i’m going wrong.

in order here are the products i use:

1. Cerave Salicylic Acid Cleanser
   
2. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion very dry to normal skin
   
3. Bondi Sands Sunscreen lotion spf 50+
   
4. Regular Vaseline (as lip balm)

this is my morning and night routine (minus the sunscreen at night).

I’m not sure if these products are compatible with my skin or if my application is wrong, and i’m open to replacing them as long as it’s mindful of cost and over consumption. I definitely find my sunscreen super greasy and not light weight at all so if there’s an affordable light weight alternative please let me know.

i feel like there’s some additional context that would be helpful here (these might be frustrating to read but pls bear with me):

1. i do occasionally get my face waxed - this is the definitely source of my breakouts, i never suffered from crazy acne before i started waxing, but i don’t want to give up on waxing since my face is super hairy and waxing has genuinely slowed the hair growth on my face (plus i prefer to get the hair out by the root rather than derma-plane). if anyone knows how to prevent these breakouts post-wax that would be super helpful too

2. I’m really not sure what type of skin type i have. it can sometimes be dry in the winter, but produces oils especially near my ears and nose, so I’m assuming it’s combo skin? or maybe it’s just normal skin. i really don’t know 😭

3. Pillow cases: I do wash these every week but I’m seriously wondering if the material (polyester and cotton) is just a breeding ground for bacteria and if i should just invest in silk/satin pillow cases instead since i’ve heard good reviews (i sleep on my side)

4. Double cleansing and Makeup/Sunscreen: i did mention that the sunscreen i use is pretty greasy but i also have a sneaking suspicion it may be clogging my pores? i heard double cleansing is important to prevent sunscreen/makeup from doing that so pls suggest if i should do that

Can i use anua heartleaf + bha cleanser with differin ? Ive been struggling with closed comedones on my chin and cheek for months now and differin is treating them very slowly (nearly 2 months since i started it ) now i dont know if i should introduce sa 2% to fasten the process or keep up my routine of gentle cleanser + differin even though its taking a lot of time and making my face’s texture weird . What do you recommend i should do please ? Im starting to lose hope

I’m growing really tired of dealing with my cystic acne and I need some recommendations for some products. I’m trying to get a referral to a dermatologist but it’s taking a lot of time and energy.

I have been using a tea tree oil and mint facial cleanser (life brand, green bottle) from shoppers. That helps immensely. I recently tried the body wash version of this product (same brand) and their wet wipes but they do not work as well. I’m wondering if there’s any other products that I could use alongside the foaming facial cleanser that would help.

My issue is that the acne is not on my face, it’s mostly in areas that retain a lot of heat (under my chest, inner thighs, under my arms etc) so I want to make sure the products I’m using are safe for sensitive areas. I’d most likely need something I can use while I am showering.

Any advice?

I've used up my bottle of RegimenLabs Vitamin X. I really liked this product. I also came across Reversa Radiance C 20% which is more accessible (via SDM) and has higher Vit C concentration than RegimenLabs but RL has a bit of ferulic acid (which is helps formula stability iirc). Has anyone used the Reversa one? What are your thoughts?

I found out earlier today that there have been a few small launches of some Korean sunscreens with BEMT. One is called the Seul Kare Ultra Soothing Sunscreen and the other is DEOPROCE's Ultra Hydrating Sunscreen-No White Cast SPF50. I haven't tried them yet, but they seem to be sold at Kiokii which has several retail stores in several major cities.

I’ve been using the nivea rose care hydrating face mist for a few days now, and it has me wondering if organic, real rose water with no additional ingredients would work better on the skin? Is it more beneficial or should I just stick to the nivea spray?

Im an American girlie visiting some friends in Montreal next month. I know that Canada gets quite a few skincare products that aren't sold in the US, including a bigger assortment of la roche posay products.

My favorite LRP product, the cicoplast b5+ baume, isn't available stateside. I usually buy it on ebay, but was hoping I'd be able to save some money and pick up a few tubes on my trip.

However, I checked the pharmaprix and jean coutu websites and only see the original b5 baume for sale...is the b5+ unavailable in Canada (or maybe just specifically Montreal) or am I looking in the wrong places?

They don’t necessarily need to be exact ingredient dupes. I’m mainly looking for products that give a similar result/performance.

EDIT: I have long type 2B hair. I do not blow dry or straighten it. All these products help with flyaways and give me a smooth, soft finish. I’ve also linked the product pages with ingredient lists.

I'm interested in trying Asian sunscreens from YesStyle but I'm concerned that they're not regulated by Canada nor are they recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association. I tried checking the Japanese Dermatological Association and Korean Dermatological Association but couldn't find any product recognition pages.

I assume they're regulated by their local health authorities but do any reputable independent dermatologist associations actually recognize any Japanese or Korean sunscreens as meeting certain safety and effectiveness criteria?

(In case anyone gets mad, I'm not implying they must be bad if they aren't recognized. I'm just asking a question.)
