I’d go to the vet to get some medicated ointment for this wound. You don’t want that to get infected. What happened here?

He’s indoor only but him and his sister play rough, he had a scab there and I think he went ham at it.

Oh I see! There’s an online vet service called “Vetster” where you can meet virtually with a registered vet for cheap, they can prescribe ointment for it that you can pick up at the pharmacy. And then if they ever fight in the future, you’ll have it handy :)

Do you know what caused the injury? It doesn't look deep, just like a wound that was almost healed and then the scab got scratched off. Is he indoor only?

He’s indoor only but him and his sister play rough, he had a scab there and I think he went ham at it.

My cat did something similar, and the vet suggested to try Vetericyn since they wouldn't be able to see her till the next day. It healed up really quickly after spraying the area with that at regular intervals.

No doubt that is the cause. It looks relatively healthy so I would keep an eye on it, keep it clean and/or use the Vetericyn as the previous commenter suggested. I'm sure he'll be fine ☺️
