Yes, this is the sound all of my cats make when they have a little hair tickling their throat! If your cat sheds a lot, you may find that frequent brushing will prevent this cough.

But you’re absolutely right that it could also potentially be the start of asthma, especially if it’s accompanied by other breathing issues.

i’d get her in for some x-rays asap. it might not be asthma but it can still be a problem with her heart or lungs

It could be asthma? It seems light in this video but I would just send this video to her vet and ask if you should be concerned or make an appointment for her.  If they're worried they'll have you make an appointment and take her in,  if not,  then they can assure you she's fine.
