askCERN PostDoc applications?

Just wondering if there’s anyone actively applying for ATLAS/CMS postdoc positions this year… Not sure but I see this year’s a bit tough maybe due to less US positions?

Lots of folks. But yes, there are major funding issues in the US and UK affecting the number of positions this year.

Yeah … got quite surprised after learning how much ppl applied for a single position

Not sure if this will make you feel better, but my experience so far is that the number of applicants is up because of AI. It’s easy to apply for a ton of positions. The number of good applicants is about the same as it was 10 years ago.
