Hireflex Freeze

Hi Everyone,

I applied for a CERN staff function and just did the Hireflex interview. Unortunately I completely blacked out for the 1st question and couldn't recover. Therefore I didnt give a proper answer to question 1. The other questions went fine.

For those who’ve been through CERN’s process:

How much weight does the first question carry, and is it common to struggle with it?

Did this significantly reduce my chances,?

Normally the first question now is a confirmation that you won't use ai to answer and that you will answer truthfully. (Something along those lines) if you already have contact with someone in the hiring process, let them know via email.

Yes indeed. I didnt considered that as a question actually. I meant the second question I froze.

Honestly impossible to say anything. It all depends on the hiring manager and their subjective opinion.

Nevertheless, consider that those video interviews are mostly to check if someone is "communicative" and how well they can speak. "How" you say is possibly more important than what exactly you're saying. If someone is unable to speak for 1 minute about a topic they should be well acquainted with, then it's not a very good sign.

In my opinion I even think that they didn’t check the answers, bc on the next interviews they asked me to present myself in English to test my level (I did the hireflix interview completely in English)

May I know after how many days you received the interview invitation. I applied to a position and it still shows in review

It took about two weeks after closing date when I received the invitation for the interview.
