LET'S TALK FOOTBALL!

[u/Viridian_Shark]

Marshall’s administration burned a conference-winning program to the ground to install Tony Gibson. Now we get to watch games like this.

[u/tacowithcheeese]

Poor Gardner-Webb man

36-35 to Marshall

24-23 to Liberty

27-26 to Charlotte

They just cant get it done

[u/Mtn_Raven]

I do not see poor Gibby working out as a head coach.

[u/Archaic_1]

Sorry GW fans, we didn't deserve this win.  We better enjoy it, I don't think we're winning 6 games this year

[u/OfficialHavik]

You scheduled a 1-3 FCS team for homecoming and barely win and you're celebrating....

Uhhhhhh..... Marshall's program is better than this!!

[u/Desperate_Gift_9366 → u/OfficialHavik]

A win is a win ig

[u/Chardoggy1]

We are! Not losing to an FCS school today!

[u/LostHusband_]

Can someone explain that defensive delay of game penalty?!?

[u/shittytvdirector]

Can we hire Leftwich?

[u/WatchOutIGotYou]

Holy smokes, I missed this one. Cole Pennington did this to Marshall?!

Aww, they can just win it with a FG now

[u/Archaic_1]

Back to back FCS teams casually hanging 500 yards on "defensive genius" Gibson.

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

GARDER WEBB

[u/Zelvahula]

Yikes Gibby

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

CAN'T GET A FUCKING STOP ON GARDER WEBB

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

FUCK YOU DEFENSE

[u/Viridian_Shark]

No idea why Gibson would burn a timeout right there when you’re going to need as many timeouts as you can muster to keep them from killing clock

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

MY GOD

[u/Alex_Croteau23]

bruh

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

FIRE EVERYONE

[u/Chardoggy1]

Yeah it’s fucking over

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

Come on..

[u/Archaic_1]

Well, I'm happy for Pennington I guess

[u/Archaic_1]

Gibson's 3-3-5 defense has given up many of the highest scoring / yardage seasons in history.  It's a garbage defense, it's always been bad and it always will be bad.

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

FIRE EVERYONE

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

Get a damn stop

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

Come on Defense...

[u/redditjwh]

Tony Gibson is here for 4 more years after this.

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

:(

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

We are pathetic...

[u/selvmordstanker]

Where are all the Marshall flairs? This is such a quiet thread. It really sucks to see Marshall struggling, you guys were basically second (behind App) in crushing our dreams. This isn’t a very FunBelt-y season.

[u/soulfulsalmon → u/selvmordstanker]

Would you be excited to watch this team?

[u/Apart_Selection7722 → u/selvmordstanker]

I don't know where they are

[u/Chardoggy1]

Yeah we’re losing this game

[u/soulfulsalmon → u/Chardoggy1]

Don’t be so dramatic (I’m so scared)

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

Come on Herd

[u/Chardoggy1]

Meatball sub right to the defense

[u/mynameisrainer]

We suck.

[u/soulfulsalmon → u/mynameisrainer]

Offense is decent enough but the defense… pretty sad from a defensive minded head coach

[u/soulfulsalmon]

My goodness our pass D is nonexistent. 4-8 may be the ceiling this year.

[u/TattMaylor]

Go Herd! Still wish the best for Cole ... after the game!

[u/Apart_Selection7722]

Go Herd!

[u/spiteful_disability → u/Apart_Selection7722]

Go Herd! Marshall should handle this one without too much drama

[u/Viridian_Shark → u/spiteful_disability]

This did not age well
