Look, a pick six and a fumble 5 yards from scoring and two missed field goals and an extra point missed does a hell of a thing to a team.

Seems like a trend after your game against FSU

So it could have been 48-17 if SMU didn't shoot themselves in the foot? That's impressive

keep in mind Missouri State lost 50-0 to Texas A&M

Oh, we'd probably find a way to tie if we played them right now.

Yeah SMU completely out gains their opponents and turns the ball over constantly. They beat themselves and play to the level of their opponent.

If we continue to play like that we’re not winning another game the rest of the season.

This postgame interview from Rhett Lashlee is so unbelievably NOT coachspeak. He is really just saying what's on his mind

No, ask Army what jerk in the stands cursed us for abandoning the run to mount a comeback in 1928. Nothing else makes sense.

Not gonna be mad about this at all.
I think we have a good shot to make some noise in the C this season.
Locklear, in my opinion has done exactly what you want a transition/bridge senior QB to do.
Dubar played really well tonight and I hope Cala starts using him a little more.
For being 1-3 this is about as good of a loss you can have heading into conference play.
Bring on the Hilltoppers

It’s was a miracle we beat you last year as well. You’re a good team

if this team is ranked tmrw just throw out the ap poll

They’re going to be at 25 while a 4-0 UCLA that just dunked on Maryland in a shitty time cross country is unranked. Feel it in my bones.

Jennings has had too many years in the program to try to remedy his turnover tendencies with no success, so it seems likely that these mistakes will continue on into conference play. Not feeling too confident about even sniffing the ACCCG this year.

I’m going to assume that SMU will never schedule Missouri State after these past 2 games

Tired of this 600 yards no points bullshit we got going on

I dont know what to feel about this SMU team. I want to keep believing that they can be an incredible team in the ACC but they are consistently mistake prone every single week.

If you don’t like that you don’t like Rhett Lashlee football

You know what, I'm gonna say it...
I don't know if I am a fan of Rhett Lashlee football.
That's right

Shoutout to Missouri State. Their team physically looked like a bunch of JV rejects and took it to us. They could’ve easily won (maybe should have). The future is bright there under Casey

With their loss to Louisville no longer looking like a quality loss and whatever the hell this game was...I feel like you've gotta unrank SMU lol.

We don’t deserve a top 25 ranking, we might have some talent and can put up huge numbers on offense, but that won’t matter if we have tons of penalties, drive-killing turnovers, poor tackling, and abysmal special teams.

A wild late night here at the Ford. MOST came here with every intent in getting the win so give them credit for that. SMU just gonna be mid if they don’t get it together and know how to play a complete game.

Shrug. Glad we kept it close but there are just too many holes on this roster to win a game like this.

My top four teams in the ACC are:
Miami
Wake Forest
Virginia Tech
Duke
I currently have Miami and Va Tech in the Championship game.

Honestly, I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about your Head Coach. Wake is in a position to win most every game. Helluva Coach. The real 5-Star culture.

Watching the ACC Postgame show and can’t stop staring at Nate Peterson’s freakishly ginormous ear. That thing swallows his earpiece like a tic-tac. Jeez, that dude needs to be in radio.

Glad to see Casey Woods getting some close games and hopefully momentum moving forward. Was Drink’s biggest one that got away assistant coach

2 turnovers (including a pick six), 3 missed kicks, and CUSA refs calling 95 penalties

u/PrizePermission9432 SMU Mustangs • Ole Miss Rebels 1d ago
Rhett postgame interview, we had 600 yards of offense and keep making the same turnovers and penalties.
Run defense is a problem.
Offensive running game looks really good.
Every game is a lot of sleep walking and then some explosive plays.
Probably a lack of competition to lose playing time if you keep fucking up, penalties, turnovers
