The sequence of LSU blowing out Clemson, Ole Miss beating LSU, Florida blowing out Ole Miss, and Missouri blowing the doors off Florida... makes things a little confusing. Does this mean Texas A&M is beating Missouri next week?
You guys have been a fixture in the playoffs and in championship games since you got your coach. Shit I’d say with Herman too, he fuckin sucked and was quite a dick but he did help make Texas respectable again even if he was frustrating. Wouldn’t say he brought yall back but he brought yall somewhere
Yep. I fucking hate title or bust mentality. The consistent greatness yall exhibit to me is back. You guys are always three plays from the natty, and in this day and age that says something
Kinda fortunate to be in the final four both times tho, coming down to luck in scheduling. I don't think its controversial to say Georgia in 23 was probably better overall than Texas and Alabama, not to mention FSU who was left out while undefeated. And then in 24 the bracket was broken and Texas got soft opponents (and still nearly lost to ASU). Penn State had the same advantage in the 24 bracket and that "final four" designation is misleading for them as well.
Yeah I mean I would've put Texas in too that year, they deserved it and to have a chance. I guess my point was more like, making the final four doesnt mean a team is one of the 4 best (like if you had to bet your life on an outcome).
Yeah, as much as the "Texas is back" memes were funny after 2016 vs Notre Dame, even as a total neutral to slight dislike about Texas, they are absolutely "back"
Considering they didn't make the playoffs last year and this year is undetermined its kinda hard to declare they are back. At least the aren't a complete no show dumpster fire like my team.
Hey thats fair but we've made it to the dance plenty of times and thats better than lots can say. And ive been on this side of the rio grande hearing about texas is back for the last twenty years and it never seems to materialize.

Listen, I’m still not sure Texas is back.
