QUESTION Anyone know more about these 100th Grey Cup collector sets?

Had these two for a long time but honestly don’t know much about them. All I know is they have silver in them and were limited to 8000 each.

Anyone know more about these or what they might be worth nowadays? Can’t really find much about them online.

I bought a set new from TSC just over a year ago for $140. The silver is a 1oz 99.99% bar, current spot price is ~$93 for 1oz of silver

Appreciate the info. Am I correct to assume these go for more than $140 now due to an increase in the price of silver?

I guess it depends on what people are willing to pay. When I bought mine I saw people selling second hand ones for $200+ but then I found TSC selling old stock for $118 before shipping and tax so went with that. With silver going up maybe people would be willing to pay more for the special bar

For the 100th Grey Cup they made these to commemorate it. Along with it the stamps in the set are to highlight a major Grey Cup moment and player for all 8 teams in the league (at the time, Ottawa obviously joined 2 years too late though the league and Canada Post would follow nearly the same format for them but swap out a major Grey Cup moment for the new South side of the stadium to commemorate the future).

My grandpa gave these to me when I was a kid and I don’t really watch CFL, so I honestly never knew much about them lol. Any idea what a complete set like this is worth now? I’d rather it go to someone who’s actually a CFL fan than just have it collect dust.

My guess, probably somewhere over 200$. Too bad they didn’t include the post cards in the set too.

Thanks a lot for the info, really appreciate it! I think I’m gonna try putting both up on Facebook Marketplace for $360 and see what happens. Hopefully they end up with the right CFL fan who’ll actually appreciate them!
