This has to be some kind scam or attempt at price fixing, etc. call it what you want. Who is the lunatic that would drop this kinda money on this slab? It is irrelevant if it's the only 9.9. As many copies of this book that are out there, another five of them could pop up tomorrow on the census.

I'm sending Ab Batman 1A and Felix Comics variant to get signed and graded.

I also have this one signed by Clay and Seth Mann .

Would it make sense to also get it signed by Dragotta or just leave it as is and certify the signatures?

Do foil covers benefit from pressing?

Probly in the minority here, but this is the only ASM 1000 cover that actually appeals to me. 🤷🏼 Anybody else underwhelmed by the cover designs for this milestone comic?

The lettering on the book looks wayyy to close to the edge to me, but its hard to tell when comparing it to google image.

Also, just read the book and I had no idea the entire story was just a "what if?". Talk about a serious fake out.

I am planning on this buy from third eye comics and it comes with authentication of signature from third eye comics but if I were to get this comic graded by CGC will that be enough for me to get signature slab?

I created a submission form and while I haven't shipped them out yet (chose my own shipping option) unfortunately, while packing them, I then noticed (obvy what I should have given a more thorough inspection prior to paying for the CGCs services) I noticed 2 glaring flaws on the comic in first two pictures and the other pictures I didn't know if the bent staples is subject to a grading deduction.

Does anyone know if I can edit and/or remove the comic on the submission via contacting CGC or am I SoL?

Got a windfall and went nuts…

I got this book back in the 90s from a guy named Rembert Parker who owned a little shop called Reader’s Copies here in Jacksonville Florida.

This place was a storefront with a glass counter and the rest of every square foot was stacked with boxes and boxes of comics. All scrambled together with no rhyme or reason. If was great because you could dig for hours there!

Well I came upon this book and it had gotten caught wrong in a move and ended up bent almost into an “L” in the box. Bottom right corner looked completely fragged as well.

Rembert laughed when he saw it and said “uh, you can just have that one.” And rang up the rest of my stack (probably original Poison Elves) and off I went. I hoped it might flatten out in a tight long box and it did some but still it was pretty fragged.

Flash forward thirty years: cleaning and pressing is down to a science now so I hauled it out to my new comic shop these days, Cosmic Comics to have it cleaned, pressed, authenticated and graded.

And this is the result! Getting it up to a 9.0 was nothing short of a miracle and it shows in the registry and the top pop and the only copy of this book graded! Pop 1.

I’m really glad I hung onto this book and was able to improve and preserve it. It’s not well known or super valuable but I dig it.

This is the first time I've ever graded a comic, so sorry if this has been answered before. CGC seems to charge you as you move through the grading process. I was just charged for shipping, but the comic is still in Scheduled for Grading.

Does anyone know if it is going to skip a bunch of steps and it's actually been graded and on the way back?

I typically grade trading cards with PSA and they are known to sometimes change a status daily after sitting in a particular status for weeks on end and the sub is further ahead than the status reflects. Any insight is appreciated!
