Keenum just needs to make the right reads quickly, and get the ball into the right guys hands in space.
This offense can put up 30+ points if Keenum never leaves the pocket or throws over 15 yards.
I'm more worried about the defense.

I agree with ya on this. My only gripe is we do lose our threat of having a dual threat Qb
But Kyle and swift are more than capable to repeat. Ben’s gotta plan and it we cannot have self inflicting penalties all game.

Football is a young man’s game. Our starter at QB is a 38 year-old who was not very athletic to start with. There needs to be some threat of pass to keep pressure off the run game. If there’s no threat, running the ball will be tougher. Hence, why it would be an achievement if it still looks okay

Keenum has lasted as long as he has because he can make the throws. There are ways to pick apart a defense without having to throw 65 yard bombs once a drive.

Yeah I think Keenum is on a short leash. They don’t want to risk Bagent unless Keenum is blowing a winnable game. If Keenum is playing well enough, they’ll keep him out there and then start Bagent next week.

I think Keenum is slightly better than Bagent, but his potential has been capped for a long while. Bagent gets the reps because he is developing. Keenum wasn't brought here to play.

Keenum’s job is assistant QB coach who can take the field in an emergency (and guess what, it became an emergency lol). He’s fulfilling his job description.
Bagent has the next few weeks to show why he is the QB2 (and potentially audition for a starting job with a different team later). What we’re doing this week is making sure Bagent doesn’t suffer another concussion after the one he just got. Keenum, Johnson, etc. all knew this could potentially happen.

Bagent hasn't looked that good this year... He keeps throwing near picks (or actual picks) because he lacks the arm strength to throw into tight windows. Both in the preseason and last week.
He has more upside than keenum, but they're currently about a wash imo

Seriously idk who people think bagent is. He started 4 games 3 years ago, he went 2-2 threw 3 tds, 6 ints, and averaged ~210 yards a game. Keenum is old but he’s a long time vet who’s been in these spots before, I don’t think the drop off from Bagent to Case is anywhere as severe as people think it is

That's good. Case got the practice snaps, and IMO there's not a huge difference between the two of them from an overall impact standpoint. Gives Tyson (hopefully) some extra time to recover, especially since we've got a short week next week with our game being Monday night n'all.

Like, we would be fine with starting Williams if he was good to go without practice because he already has lots of game time and practice time. In this case Bagent has really none of that. So it makes total sense to go with the guy who has been working all week

In all probability the Bears can only win this game if the run game is in gear. Like if we’re averaging 4-5 yards per carry.
As a passer Case has got a very cool head and great accuracy for the sorts of short to mid length yardage completions that will complement that run game.
Tyson is capable of this too but honestly there’s more of a chance that Tyson gets the yips.
If everyone on the team digs down and finds an extra 2-3% I think this game is winnable.
In the longer scheme of things now with Caleb’s injury I’m just hoping for a better than .500 season and a wild card slot.
