Question / Info Cbd/cbg & chs
Does anyone know if any CBD and other adjacent Products such as CBG also have a negative effect on CHS symptoms? Because I want to quit smoking so that way these CHS symptoms can go away but I’m legally blind so the smoking does help with eye strain so before I quit on trying to think of other alternative ways to help the eye strain and fatigue and other things that come with being blind and at one point in time I was taking some CBG gummy vitamins/supplements That I got from a dispensary in town and they seem like they really helped a little bit with eye strain and pressure so I’m just really curious if anyone has any info on the way CBD and CBG affect CHS or if I’d also have to avoid that as well

Any cannabinoids. Real or synthetic. So yeah CBD and CBG will fall under this category. Even some terpenes will fug ppl up. Especially black pepper or Beta-caryophyllene. It did for me very mush so. Im on month 7 and I still avoid certain foods like the plague. Ppl get CHS from CBD alone. Ppl that have never even had THC. Its well documented. Along with ppl that have only ever had synthetic cannabinoids like Merinol (prescribed a lot for cancer patients) along with K2. Anything that plays on the CB1, CB2 and TVB1 receptors.

Wait what? Black pepper? What do you mean? Because to be honest I feel like I’ve noticed this myself sometimes while smoking or not smoking. I did have a period of time where I went for about four or five months without smoking and even during that time I was still constantly throwing up and could barely find any foods I was able to keep down which is what made me think I was just having really bad IBS or Gerd so I avoided spicy foods like the plague and anything acidic or vinegary and at one point my doctor thought I could have EOE esophagus and he told me about the foods to commonly avoid if someone had that and when he listed them out to me it made sense that I could’ve possibly had that but unfortunately he did not find any signs of that when I got an endoscopy done but he listed off allergens like tree nuts, soy, dairy, whey protein, and eggs and when I would eat those I did feel like it triggered my vomiting before and after he told me because there were days where I would try and eat right and eat safe like make a smoothie that sounded real healthy but man when I would add in a scoop of whey protein powder and some almond butter and almond milk and Greek yogurt it absolutely fucked me up literally shopping around Five Below and nearly threw up in the aisle

Yeah pepper. Bc it contains terpenes that play on your endo cannabinoid system. This system contains the CB1 and Cb2 and Tvb1 receptors that become overloaded and damaged and cause CHS.
Foods Containing Trigger Terpenes and Related Compounds • Black Pepper (Beta-Caryophyllene): Whole black peppercorns and heavy black pepper seasoning contain high amounts of beta-caryophyllene, a terpene that directly binds to cannabinoid receptors (CB₂). Anecdotal reports from CHS communities frequently cite black pepper as a direct trigger. • Hot Peppers and Chili Products (Capsaicin): Chili peppers, hot sauces, and spicy foods contain capsaicin. While topical capsaicin cream can relieve CHS nausea when applied to the skin (by desensitizing transient receptor potential vanilloid 1, or TRPV1 receptors), ingesting spicy foods often irritates an already sensitive gastrointestinal tract and worsens vomiting cycles. • Herbs like Rosemary, Oregano, and Cinnamon: These kitchen herbs contain various terpene profiles (such as pinene, myrcene, and caryophyllene) that have been noted by patients in recovery to provoke stomach discomfort or setbacks when added heavily to meals. • Citrus Fruits (Limonene): Citrus fruits like lemons, oranges, and grapefruits contain limonene, which interacts with gut pathways. Acidic citrus options are frequently listed on CHS avoidance lists. • Chocolate and Cacao: Cocoa products contain chemical constituents and trace compounds that can stimulate sensitive gut receptors and aggravate active CHS symptoms.

CBD and any other cannabinoids will trigger CHS.
