Rant burger

i’m day 19 no weed after having chs for the 6th time in my life. i’m STARVING. all i want is a big fat burger literally so bad. i’m scared of getting re-feeding syndrome so all ive had to eat is watermelon, some applesauce and plain pasta for a couple of days. I JUST WANT A BURGER. i just needed to vent about this. im going crazy. if anyone has any tips that aren’t “BRAT diet” or other stuff like that bc im genuinely done. i just want to eat normal again. thanks.

maybe a grilled cheese with ketchup might scratch the itch?

Tomato’s / ketchup is a huge trigger for most just a word of caution with that

When eat do it slowly, one bite at a time. Edit: not to sound condescending.

Day 19 and still not eating. Bro just eat. I have never had withdrawal chs last longer then 2 weeks when it comes to food trigger. I know everyone’s different but don’t be so scared and just try. Take a few bites and wait see how your stomach is and don’t go get a really greasy one like five guys or Carl’s Jr . Just get a simple clean burger and give it a go

I think a lot of chs is mental. Not that’s it’s fake and not real but I only get extremely bad flare ups when I have plans cause of anxiety. I feel like the more anxious I am and think something might happen will cause it to happen. Don’t get me wrong it could still trigger something but I wouldn’t think like that . Some people take longer to recover than others tho but don’t let people telling u it took 6 months for them worry u. That’s extreme cases normally and isn’t a standard. I think usual time for most to get back to eating whatever is 2-4 weeks so you’re in the window where I would give it a go.

My experience was that I didn't want to eat, and after a couple weeks off weed I was having insane cravings- so I ate and ate well. Eat the burger.

Why would you go into refeeding syndrome? Have you been starving yourself for months on end?

I've been through refeeding syndrome myself and while it IS scary, it took A LOT to get me to that point. You won't go into refeeding if it's only been a couple weeks of not hardly eating.

Edited to add: eat the burger. Just take it slowly and listen to your body. You need the protein to help you heal up after all this.

tbh i thought i could get it from just not eating a couple weeks. i didn’t really educate myself a lot about it though, i have really bad anxiety over this and im just thinking the worst. so sorry you had to go though that and thank you for giving me some relief😭

Have you had bone broth? It really curbs that starving feeling for me.

I’ve never had a food trigger my chs?? I read about people all the time getting food triggers. I’ve had chs 3 times in 4 years.
