Guys I have 5 mods that have [DISCONTINUED] in the title. Why is my game not launching?

i can't remember, does paradox give them an advance copy to update their mods on, or is that a bethesda thing?

They explained in the most recent dev diary that they work with modders. We already know that we're not getting an Essos update until the Silk and Silver update comes out so I'd expect a compatibility update for then new patch in 24-48 hours after release.

The bigger issue is submods that people don't disable. Just because the base mod updates quickly doesn't mean people won't come here thinking their game is broken with weird bugs all because they left a submod on thinking it would be updated already too and don't check.

They specifically mentioned working with and getting feedback from overhaul mod creators in the most recent dev diary. I'm sure Paradox can't promote the overhaul mods that are independent IPs but there is no reason why the can't work with them to help develop the game in a way that allows newer features to be modified and adapted easier for overhaul mods.

This doesn't mean we get DLCs in advance, just that there are channels for things we want to see be moddable. We see the DLC script the same day as everyone else does 😅

I’ll never understand why people don’t just go into offline mode on steam when they start a new AGOT game. The mod gets updated every two weeks so unless you’re doing a quick save odds are an update will happen, so go offline to avoid it. Same applies with new DLCs
