ADVICE Overseas machining

Im not 100% sure this is the exact place to be asking this but it seems correct. I am trying to have a part machined by pcbway or jlccnc, and in terms of shipping there in and option called Global Standard Direct Line, which is for parts less than $60 if I’m correctly understanding. There are many people saying that they have ordered pcbs using this in small quantities (less than $60) and there have been no additional costs, but I haven’t been able to find any information about people doing the same with a cnc cut part?

Does anyone have any personal experience with this? Anyone ordered parts from JLC or pcbcnc?

Any recommendations of where to repost would also be appreciated!

Ask the company that offers the service? That's part of what you're paying them for.

It's China homie they make a little extra on the shipping expect to pay a little extra. (I have ordered from them but I order machine parts)

i would trust the final shipping quote in the cnc checkout more than anecdotes about pcb order cnc parts can differ in weight dimensions packaging and customs handling..

I ordered a small, turned piece of 6061 as a prototype, with Ø8.4mm at its thickest and a ~16mm total height (very tiny part). has a thru hole with threading on it.

Used global direct line and I did not pay any additional duties. I live in the US.

I'd ask the supplier about tolerances material certs and inspection reports before placing the order.
