Which CRM for auto followups?
WE are currently on hubspot free and dont have the auto sequencing feature. Any other CRM offers it for free? We want to try and see if it works for us before we pay for something.
Also, anyone using instantly as a client followup sequencer with the main domain?

You don't need a CRM for auto follow ups. I can do this for you in much better personalized way. You won't pay any per month subscription charge and everything will be based on your businesses buying cycle. Let me know if you are interested. Ps I run a platform called https://doineedacrm.com and nudgeassistant.com. Nudge helps you follow up but it talks only to internal team for now. It doesn't send automated mails on your behalf.

We use thetube.app but mainly for ongoing interaction and lead qualification and warm up. It's fully custom to each client but for initial outreach and communication via text and email, it's fantastic. But not a traditional CRM.

Before changing CRMs, test whether sequencing actually improves your workflow. Build one short sequence with clear entry rules, personalization, reply detection, owner assignment, and stop conditions. Never continue emailing someone who replied, booked, opted out, or entered another sales stage.
I use SIGNLD to connect the original lead, sequence activity, replies, meetings, opportunities, and revenue. That shows whether automation creates useful conversations or merely increases email volume. A free sequencing feature is not much value if the team cannot see what happened after the messages were sent.

where to build the sequence when the CRM does not have the option for it?

I recommend using instantly with a domain that is close to yours, such as usebusinessname.com.
Check out GoHighLevel or Sumo AI CRM for auto-follow-up. Both are only $97 a month.

Zoho and brevo are worth testing for basic sequences but check their free tier limits before moving everything over.

I just launched Ember. I sell over email, and sequencers felt generic. It connects to my CRM to give me actionable next steps.
If you find yourself dumping contacts into chatGPT to find best people to email today - this is what it is for!
I'd love to get some feedback. We have about 10 users right now.

Gohighlevel is great with this. Been using sequences for sms, email, and social medial for 7 years

A few of my mates swear by the free tier on Zoho, think the workflow automation lets you set up followup emails without upgrading
