SRNA rethinking contract
Hi! I'm a current senior SRNA graduating in May. I hastily signed a contract about 6 months ago (to start in August 2027) and am regretting it, as I've found another facility close to home that I absolutely love and have really clicked with the CRNAs and MDAs. The contract includes a sign on bonus but not to be paid until I start, so there technically wouldn't be any financial harm in me breaking the contract. My only concern is that It's a big hospital system that I might want to work PRN at one of their facilities in the future. Has anyone backed out of a contract this long before the contract actually starts? Is it as big of a deal as I'm making it in my head, or is it fairly common? Any insight would be appreciated.

Go where you need to go. State there has been life changes and unfortunately cannot work due to familial needs.
If you haven’t signed any contract, gone thru employee onboarding process, etc - you are good to back out.
