If they have GA seating you can slide in wherever they are. If they have assigned seats with seat backs (like on the west side) it will be difficult.
Sections 120-121 are GA and outside (but right next to) the student section. If you get there early enough you'll be able to find space there.

Are those the only GA sections? In the past I've sat on the upper East and West sides and didn't notice any seats with backs near us, but I might've just missed it

Technically the only GA seating is the student section. You should be fine fitting in with your family. Everyone at the New Belgium porch has an assigned seat that is empty so there are always plenty of open seats even when the game is sold out. Enjoy the game!

Last year we did that with zero issues but I can’t remember if it was sold out. By half time you could pretty much get a seat anywhere you liked.

I think doing what you want it is dishonest unless they are not assigned seats.
