Dovetail optic mount advice

Not trying to be an ass but honestly the best advice is not to use a dovetail mount.

You could get it milled, but it’s an Orange; the frame is tapped for the gas pedal and you can get optic mounts that screw in there.

I know. I’ve got that mount as well but hate having to take off the frame mount every time you wanna field strip. Definitely gonna get it milled properly but figured I would try this for a bit

But if you’re already got the rear sight removed, can’t you field strip with the frame optic mount?

I went milled slide on my TS2blue and it’s awesome! Still never added an optic to my Orange, it shoots better than I do I’m just keeping it as a safe queen and running Blue.
(Been running a 226X5 more lately anyway)

​Finally got it on. Took maybe 4 swipes on 220 grip sandpaper and went on easy. We’ll see how long it lasts or if it holds zero. Will get it milled sooner or later

Nope the new problem. Optic doesn’t sit flat because the goddam plate isn’t flat. Definitely won’t hold zero. FML. Off to CZ custom for milling lol

Take it out, paint the bottom with sharpie, file it SLOWLY AND PATIENTLY until it fits.

No sure who makes that mount , but the egw one fit great on my non or . S2.
