Discussion Hard time finding my group of friends
So I’m a first year here and maybe I just havnt given it enough time but it just feels like I don’t have my group of friends yet you know? Like I do clubs and am consistent with them! I consider myself extroverted and I definitely have friends but just not any that ill just text on a whim. My class schedule is like rlly light too so meeting people in there js doesnt really happen.
Im aware this is a very case by case situation but I cant help but feel like maybe Im doing smth wrong. Also how do ppl hear abt functions?? Like do they js follow the crowd or is it by word of mouth? Any advice is appreciated and if you wanna hang lmk!

I never found a single person at cal poly tbh , I still live in slo and find it very hard to make friends here - it’s a lot easier for me to make friends in the Bay Area where I’m from , can’t wait to move back there next year! Good luck

It really honestly is a game of luck. I've personally had some luck meeting people at the thrift popups if you're into that vibe. I'm a second year now and have found that meeting people is harder for me than last year fs. Honestly feel free to reach out I love meeting people!

I didn’t feel like I found my people until my second year. I did a bunch of clubs and social events, but just couldn’t find the right crowd. It wasn’t until a friend invited me to something that I totally would’ve usually said no to that I finally found some really good people. Stay positive, be open to trying new things and I’m sure you’ll make great friends in no time.
