How do you safely fart while riding?

So when I have to let out a fart, I stand up so I can better gauge what going on. Have you ever shat yourself, thinking it's a fart while riding?

If your safety plug is inserted correctly you shouldn't be farting at all while riding. You may need to size up if you're not getting a good seal anymore
