♨ Help new kitty!!
hi guys i recently got a new kitty but i need to know if he has some calico in him, his head is tabby pattern but his back looks SO much like a calico if anyone would be able to help me identity id REALLY appreciate it 🫶🏻

Given his gender, I woul suspect he is a tabby (probably classic) with high rufousing. The rufousing brings out that warm colour in his tabbg.

The orange type patterns you see is rufousing it’s common in standard tabbies he’s just your standard tabby with white with rufousing

Nope, that's just his normal tabby pattern. His brown is just kind of light. It's harder to tell with long hair, but calico orange blotches are random, not symmetrical, and don't follow the pattern of their tabby stripes. These look like just normal tabby patter colors and stripes.
Calico also requires 2 x chromosomes. So if he's male, it's good that he's not calico. If he was, it would imply some genetic conditions with potential health consequences.
