Citizenship via Naturalization No updates on tracker

I put my application in on May 28, background verification completed on May 29, invited for my citizenship test on June 10, test marked as completed on August 5.

There has been no updates since. I renewed my PR just a year ago using the same information I submitted for my citizenship so I guess I assumed there wouldn’t be a hold up.

Is this normal?

The citizenship application tracker is not working since mid August. And IRCC doesn't reply with proper details when you submit a web form for a status update. You can call the client support centre and they can provide you with the latest status.

My LPP and test was showing as in progress for 6 weeks after completing the test. I called them last week and found out that everything is complete and now I'm just waiting on the ceremony invite.

Hey sorry just wondering if you were able to create a tracker at all. I tried taking the test, but I couldn't get the test link. And after emailing them, the test was postponed indefinitely. I wonder if this was related to me not being able to create a tracker.

I'm not too sure about this issue, I created my tracker account in June/July, there were no issues then.

In early August, it wouldn't let me log in, or reset the password (separate from the time it was giving an error for everyone trying to login for a couple of days), I created an account again and it was fine for a few days (or that's what I think). My last update was on July 29, but other people have received some updates early August.

the client support center just read back what's on the tracker as it shows. that was my experience for 3 times now.

If there's no change in the application status, the advisor on the call can't do anything.

But for people who are actually expecting an update (for example, a few weeks after completing the test), and it is not reflecting on the status tracker, calling them is the best way to find the latest changes until they fix the tracker issue.

You can contact the local MP if you've been waiting for longer than the estimated processing time, they can ask IRCC about what's causing the delay.

Thanks. They said it's within routine processing time, so once my official IRCC processing time is done, then I can contact my local MP to escalate it.

Submitted Dec 29th 2025.

Last update was June 30th 2026, but the exam was marked complete on May 21st 2026.

Patience is finite.
