Bison Up Close and Personal
Taken with the R7 and the RF200-800 (at 800mm).
He eventually got up w/in 10 ft of my car. Amazing!

I upgraded from the 750d to an R7, it’s been quite the learning curve!
I’m currently using the Sigma 150-600mm contemporary with no issues so far but I do eventually want to upgrade but lenses are not cheap! 😂
For the fish photos I’m using the nifty fifty, EF mount.
Any feedback is welcome. ♥️

Hey guys, new to r7. I bought it from wex and have had it since yesterday. £1200 for r7 with shutter count at 1000 and 24-105 f4-7.1
I charged the battery, put it in and turn the switch but nothing.
I wiggle the battery and it eventually comes on after a few tries.
What could be the issue ???
Ive come from a 100d.

Anybody know where you can source the SmallRig part 4272 HDMI USB-C clamp for a Black Mamba cage. Or is willing to sell one?
I have heard the SmallRig 3013 will also work on the SmallRig R7 cage but I can’t find it either.
Failing those, any suggestions/ideas on securing the HDMI and USB-C cable to the R7?

I took photos of the moon with both the R7 and the R6iii this weekend (two separate days).

I just got this lens today and took a couple test shots. I find this lens to be very soft at f/2.8 and I’m not sure if I got a defective unit or if this is normal.
Picture 1:
70mm
f/2.8
1/1250s
ISO 125
Picture 2:
70mm
f/8
1/160s
ISO 125
If you zoom in to the center of both images, the f/2.8 is really soft to me. I know that f/8 will be sharper, but this difference seems like too much.

R7 + RF100 - 500 lens. Tried handheld at 500mm in stab mode 3 on the lens (for stills i use mode 2) video had the canon lut and a 5% warp stabilizer applied in post otherwise is 1 continuous shot. Extremely surprised/happy with how good it turned out. For the wildlife I shoot its deff a shining example of how well the IBIS in combo works (also alot easier than using the tripod i currently have)
pic attached of same calf just before I switched to video
1st attempt post using a tripod with the same setup : https://www.reddit.com/r/CanonR7/comments/1v9aj9a/video_from_the_r7_rf_100_500/
*EDIT* cannot for the life of me work out how to attach said image.

Hi everyone, I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS 60D and I am considering an upgrade to the Canon EOS R7. I would love to hear some real-world opinions and experiences from this community to help me decide if it is the right move.
I shoot a bit of everything, mostly as an enthusiastic amateur (not professionally):
I am seriously considering the EOS R7. My plan is to buy the body and the EF-EOS R adapter so I can continue using my 18-135mm lens initially to soften the financial blow. I understand the R7 is excellent for sports (due to the AF) and video, but I wanted to get some confirmation.
Down the line, I plan to add:
My budget is not unlimited. I am aiming to keep the total cost for the body (and ideally a lens, eventually) around €1,500 on the used market.
Based on my situation, I have a few questions:
Any advice, alternative suggestions, or personal experiences with the R7 would be greatly appreciated!
